It was great to see such a lovely turn out at the C1 Complex Rehabilitation Funday on Saturday 1st July 2023. The weather held up and everyone had a great time. There was plenty to do on the day, eat home baked treats, socialise with friends and family and members of the C1 Complex Rehabilitation team, get involved in games and have a gamble on the tombola’s. It was a real family day out, a band even performed on the day and luckily the weather managed to hold until the event drew to a conclusion.

The fundraiser was aimed at raising money for the C1 Complex Rehabilitation ward, the rehabilitation ward that many of our members have attended for treatment following their ABI. The ward includes a gym, garden therapy room, independent living assessment and even a virtual reality rehabilitation programme!

As well as our stall there was also a bouncy castle, raffle, outdoor games and much more. It is always great to see so many people, charities and third parties coming together for such a good cause.

This year we can proudly say that Headway Hull and East Riding raised a fantastic total of £355.00 to be split equally between the C1 Complex Rehabilitation ward at Castle Hill and Headway Hull & East Riding. Our volunteers and members provided refreshments throughout the day, however, instead of our usual tombola held over previous years at Castle Hill. We sold cakes which were beautifully crafted.

We hope you all had a wonderful time in supporting the C1 Complex Rehabilitation Ward. We look forward to doing it all again next year; let’s hope the weather is just as good!
