PLEASE, PLEASE contact your MP to tell them of your brain injury experience and what services you would like to see improved. Headway is giving its full support to proposed legislation on acquired brain injury (ABI) being brought by Headway Parliamentary Champion, Chris Bryant MP. Further details can be found on page 3 of the newsletter, please ask them to back the bill. They simply won’t know what brain injury is like if we don’t tell them.
Something that was said to me by a health professional many years ago stuck in my mind …. “Well, it isn’t life threatening is it?” We all understand that saving life is the first priority but surely services should be available to make that life worth living. What price is quality of life?
If you are passionate about improving life after brain injury, please contact your MP, tell them about your brain injury journey and what services you would like to see improved. But most importantly, ask them to back this bill.
