Headway UK has worked with the BBC to produce a new virtual reality story about brain injury.

Based on the true story of twins Anna and Lauren, the short film allows viewers to experience Anna’s brain injury recovery from the perspective of both Anna and Lauren. The twins were 20 were Anna was injured in a road traffic accident.

Anna and Lauren’s story has been brought to life by BBC Stories in collaboration with the teams at BBC Studios Digital and Aardman Animations, and published by BBC VR Hub. ‘Is Anna OK?’ has been featured at film and technology festivals across the country, including Edinburgh TV Festival, Sheffield Documentary Festival, and the 2018 Raindance Film Festival, where it was shortlisted for two awards.

To find out more about the film, see the film’s page on the BBC website. You can also read more about Lauren and Anna’s story on the Headway UK website.

The VR film can be downloaded onto an oculus rift headset here. If you don’t have a headset, you can watch the film for free on youtube (below).
